My Pregnancy Story

In June 2020, I discovered I was pregnant for the second time. I was surprised and had mixed feelings – happiness and fear. I wanted another child but was worried about facing the difficulties of my first pregnancy, especially the dangerous high blood pressure that made it risky.

During my first pregnancy, I faced many issues like sleep problems, tiredness, and cravings. But high blood pressure was the biggest problem. After giving birth, things got even tougher – painful breastfeeding, signs of postpartum depression, weight gain, knee and back pain, constant tiredness, and the feeling of not being able to do even simple tasks. I had no strength in my abdomen and no motivation to restart my Yoga practice. It took me a long time to recover from my first pregnancy. I wondered how I could handle another child, despite the strong support of my husband, parents, and in-laws.

The main issue was the lack of proper pregnancy education. I consulted doctors about the cause of my high blood pressure, but they couldn't give me answers. Determined to address this issue in my second pregnancy, I started researching and learning. My background in yoga inspired me to look for holistic solutions.

With dedication, I dived into understanding the problem, searching for solutions, and preparing myself carefully. I had a yoga background, but I knew that yoga alone wasn't enough for a positive pregnancy experience. This led me to explore nutrition and Ayurveda. As I learned more, I became better at overcoming the hurdles that had troubled me in my first pregnancy. During my second pregnancy, I stayed active, and my blood pressure remained normal until the last month. My postpartum experience was much more comfortable after delivering my second child. This made me realize that pregnancy care with yoga, nutrition, and lifestyle is crucial for a beautiful pregnancy. To have a comfortable postpartum period, one should start preparing during pregnancy itself.
